Sylvania Kitchen
After residing in their home for a couple of years, clients Paul and Sarah were eager for a kitchen upgrade, as the existing 80's era kitchen didn't quite fulfill their needs for enjoying the space or spending time cooking, eating, and relaxing. We proposed a design that brought light into the space, accentuated the south-facing views and sunlight, and infused warmth using oak and American walnut as primary materials.

Given that the original space felt large and overwhelming, we opted to divide it into two sections: a front and back kitchen. In the back, we installed a pantry, food storage, and a family-sized dishwasher and sink—providing a designated area to clear away mess during busy times. In the front, we positioned an island to allow for views over the nearby valley while preparing meals, with a hidden drinks cabinet/bar integrated into oak-clad cupboards.

Working closely with the clients was a pleasure, and we're thrilled with the final result, which successfully transformed their kitchen into a welcoming and functional space
