So what is Dowley & Co?
Dowley & Co is an architecture practice providing bespoke buildings, interiors and landscapes throughout the UK and Denmark.

Founded by Sam Dowley and Charlie Clark, the practice’s ambition is to create places where people want to linger longer. We believe in clean and simple scandinavian design traditions and overlay our projects with references to our own unique North-Norfolk context.We always strive for sustainable solutions.

We relish in establishing strong and transparent relationships with our clients because we understand that a successful project depends on collaborative relationships between client, architect, consultant and of course, the trades that build it.We routinely work with a specialist network of highly trained consultants and contractors, all who we recommend on our projects and who progress projects confidently and quickly.
Founders
Sam studied architecture at the University of Melbourne and the Royal Danish School of Arts’ School of Architecture before practicing for over ten years at some of the world’s most respected architecture practices in Melbourne, Copenhagen and London.

Charlie studied geography at the University of Edinburgh and Law at BPP in London.

In 2021 Sam and Charlie moved to North Norfolk to be closer to family and set up Dowley & Co.

Sam is a registered ARB, RIBA and MAA architect.
